 Acer AT2326 Review

Acer are more well known for creating neat looking laptops, than large LED TVs , however the company has taken a chance with the Acer AT2326.

The 1080p Acer AT2326 TV is available on Amazon for a fairly low sum, so how does it stack up when compared to more established models of sets. Well the TV comes in both 20 and 23 inch versions and is a LED edge light set.

Acer AT2326 Attractive TV

To be honest it looks quite well, the TV is a attractive set with a nice slim bezel and looks quite good. However, it is certainly not the sturdiest of sets and manages to bend a little when lifted, or when it’s placed under physical stress. This lack of strength can be seen in the Acer AT2326 with the remote control, which is quite poor in quality and also quite badly made.

Connection wise the TV comes with 2HDMI ports, a USB port and a number of other composite, Scart, VGA and other connection options. Acer has also placed a Freeview tuner on the set. It’s a standard definition tuner and not HD, though it’s EPG is poor. In fact it is very poor, it is badly designed, slow and really doesn’t cut the mustard. The USB port also allows for video playback in a number of formats which is respectable considering the price.

Acer AT2326 Picture

Image wise the TV comes with a range of Acer AT2326 only technologies, so how do they stand up?

Well the Infini contrast technology creates  quite good contrast ratio on the screen. The images look quite sharp, though is prone to dark spots.

Acer AT2326 Colours

Colours look reasonably vibrant and the TV is quite accurate as regards tones. The N.I.C.E feature does create smoother than average movement though it is nothing spectacular. We’d certainly see this as a second set for a house due to size and its quality.

However, it does have some other strong points, which would recommend a number of other uses. The TV’s mixture of ports and also its fast 5m/s response time make it ideal for both computer gaming and as a monitor for a console or PC.

Speaker wise it isn’t fantastic and seems quite tinny, however this is a fault of far more expensive sets.

Overall the Acer AT2326 is a good TV in some ways but lacks any bite. It is an ideal monitor, or second TV with its decent picture and fast response time make it good as a secondary TV, or as a monitor. Get the Acer AT2326 on Amazon.co.uk
