LG 26LV250U Review
The TV world is one of expensive misses and amazing bargains and the LG 26LV250 positions itself in what both we and LG hope to be the latter position. The set is a 26inch one, but also comes in other sizes and comes in at quite a budget price. So, how does it rate when we look at it more closely than just for the low price?
The LG 26LV250U is a LED one, meaning the lights is around the side and the back of the TV; this allows it to be slim, though at 145mm thick it is bit of a lardy one. However, it is still suitable for hanging just as much as it is for placing on a stand. The TV comes with the usual LG single minimalist stand and has an average sized bezel and is an above average set in the attraction stakes.
LG 26LV250U Green TV
The set does come with a choice of options and though inexpensive has both a very power efficient orientation and also has LG’s Picture Wizard technology. Connection wise it is more average and has 2Xhdmi, VGA connection, a Scart port and a number of other connection options. This means it is fine, but nothing extraordinary for the price.
The TV also comes with USB ports and can play files from a USB including pictures, video and others including Div X and MKV files for those who love a bit of downloading. The LED screen of the set does a good job to play these images and we were quite impressed with it for the price.
LG 26LV250U Picture
In most cases the TV handles everything that is thrown at it quite well and we would only see it as lacklustre during busy scenes or during computer gaming – lag being quite apparent a more than wanted amount of times. However colours were good and the set was bright, testament to the LED lighting behind the TV.
The TV also comes with an electronic programming guide and Freeview, meaning it is an ideal set for those looking to upgrade to an LED set and also Freeview during the digital changeover.
LG 26LV250U Picture Wizard
The Picture Wizard technology means that anyone willing to change and isn’t up to grips with the fancy nature of modern TV technology will have no problem keeping up and managing to set the different picture settings to optimum levels. This is because Picture Wizard has a caption, showing each thing the TV settings do.
We enjoyed the LG LV250U because it offers a good, solid picture at a decent price and is the ideal TV set for those looking to upgrade or looking for a nice 26 inch set to place in their spare or extra room.
